It's always exciting to be on tv. It's even more exciting when it's going to be broadcast live. Everyone here at Pig'n-Chik was anticipating the event; the publicity and advertising, the cameras, the food and the general circus atmosphere. What we didn't anticipate turned out to be the highlight of the day.

Jason Harper hit the door like a fireball of energy, shaking hands and introducing himself around the room. My first impression was that this was a bogus 'performance' of warm and friendly. I'm seldom wrong about people, however, I was totally wrong in this instance.

KATV channel 7 has long been known for having the latest in high-tech equipment as well as a staff of great 'personalities'. They have moved to a whole new level with Jason Harper. Jason proved to indeed be warm and friendly throughout his visit. In addition, he was intelligent, creative and fun. He spoke with an older lady about her dog, a gentleman about a friend they had in common and with mingled with the crowd on an individual basis being charming and personable at all times. In truth, a couple of hours with Jason was more interesting than being on tv. Everyone at Pig'n-Chik would like to thank Jason for an outstanding event.

The Co-host for "Daybreak" and "MidDay Arkansas" and feature reporter for "Good Morning Arkansas," Jason Harper provides interesting stories from around the state of Arkansas. His goal is to find the unique, the bizarre, the hilarious, the heart warming and the facts and present them in such a way that brings a smile to every Arkansan.

Jason is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Little Rock in January of 2000 with his wife, Leslie. Jason attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in the area of Commercial Music and Music Business. After performing with Opryland Productions for four years and a background in entertainment, he was led to Arkansas to work in the media field.

Jason started his career in Little Rock as the producer and co-host of the morning show with Scott Thrower at B98.5. After honing his sarcasim, practical-joking, numchuck, and ad-lib skills for a year and a half, Channel 7 knocked on his door to help wake up Arkansas. Since he has to wake up before the crack of dawn, and has a new addition to the Harper clan, (Avery Claire born 10-22-05), there's not a lot of time to sleep. His favorite thing to do is hang out with his wife, daughter Chloe and Avery. He has a love/hate relationship with golf and no matter what anyone says, he hits golf balls into the woods for more exercise.

Jason and his wife spend most of their time changing diapers and entertaining all around Arkansas.
